What we will mostly remember of this hotel was the willingness of the staff to make people feel happy, the friendliness and the uplifting atmosphere in general. The choice of restaurants was not as good as Paradisus, neither the quality of the food. The rooms were OK, pity that only a handful had sea views (the way the hotel is designed). In general a very good experience and highly recommended especially with families with children. P.B. in January 2009
The Iberostar Varadero has everything you need for a Caribbean holiday without having to go outside. It lives up to its 4 star rating. We had rooms in the seaward facing block and it was a beautiful outlook. The beach is a short walk away and there is white sand and a beautiful bay for strolling around. The restaurant choices are good and very flexible availability all day if you eg miss breakfast. The Japanese and Mediterranean restaurants were a welcome change and very good.
