The Palacio O'Farill's name sounds a little out of place in the heart of Havana, but this actually makes perfect sense - it was founded by Don Jose Ricardo O'Farill - a member of one of the wealthiest Irish families in the colonial era. Havana's Palacio O'Farill certainly is a grand building, fitting of the heritage: it has 38 rooms, a delightful restaurant and snack bar and boasts a magnificent view from the terrace. If the architecture and history are the focus of your trip to Havana, the Palacio O'Farill is a good place to stay - you'll find your experience will start from the second you wake up each morning!
The Palacio O'Farill's Havana location is perfect for exploring the sights of the city, as well as soaking up the atmosphere of the place. Away from the huge hotel blocks in Centro Habana, this is a bustling neighbourhood full of Cubans going about their everyday lives. On top of this you are just a few streets away from Old Havana, and virtually on the doorstep of the Malecon and within touching distance of the picturesque Bay of Havana.
From the second you enter the dramatic lobby of the Palacio O'Farill, Havana, to the moment you leave you will appreciate that you're staying somewhere unique - though, as it's in the bustling `real Havana', the experience may be a bit too `authentic' for some!

Excellent Hotel. Disappointed with the breakfast, not as good as our last visit, when there was a huge choice, this time a very limited choice. Excellent location. W.S. in July 2009
