Suggested Itineraries - 10 Nights

This is a suggested ten night itinerary to take you across the length of Cuba. As with all our hotels and holidays you can customise it to suit your preferences.

Days 1 and 2 - Guardalavaca

Relax and enjoy the beach. Visit the Loma de la Cruz in the city of Holguin or visit the beach where Christopher Columbus disembarked when he discovered Cuba, the place where he exclaimed it was 'the most beautiful land a man has ever seen'. Visit the mountains of Pinares de Mayari or book a ride on helicopter to Cayo Saetia. Suggested hotel: Sol Rio De Luna Y Mares

Day 3 and 4 - Santiago de Cuba

Tour around Cuba's second largest city. Visit the Moncada barrack and enjoy the Caribbean atmosphere visit the surrounding mountains of the Sierra Maestra. Drive up to the famous Church of the Matron of Cuba in El Cobre (Virgen de la Caridad) on the way to Bayamo. Suggested hotel: Melia Santiago De Cuba

Day 5 - Camaguey

Tour around Camaguey, with its old centre, narrow streets and fine churches. Suggested hotel: Colon Hotel

Days 6 and 7 - Trinidad

Wander round the cobbled streets of this sleepy colonial town. Suggested hotel: Iberostar Grand Trinidad

Days 8 to 10 - Havana

For culture lovers a visit to the Museum of the Revolution, Fine Arts Gallery and Havana Cathedral is a must. Take a tour of a cigar factory or the Havana Club museum of rum - a great opportunity to make those last minute purchases! As the sun goes down visit one of Hemingway's old haunts La Floridita or La Bodeguita del Medio for cocktails. Suggested hotel: Sevilla
