Cayo Levisa Highlights

Located off the north coast of Cuba, three hours from Havana and only an hour from Vinales Valley, the island of Cayo Levisa is a place very unique in Cuba.
A twice daily 40-minute passenger ferry takes you from Palma Rubia across to a small island boasting 3 kilometres of idyllic unspoilt beach, with swimming, snorkelling, diving and water-sports. There is an intimate and basic but comfortable hotel on the island and rooms are situated very close to the beach. The island is a fantastic location to unwind, relax and spend a couple of nights under the stars.
Visitors looking for peace and quiet away from Cuba’s more commercial resorts may find Cayo Levisa to be just what they are looking for, especially as a short stay during a tailormade holiday around Cuba or for a few days at the end of your journey before leaving for home.
The land facing side of the island is made up of mangrove swamp while the entire ocean facing side is one long, white, sandy beach. The island will certainly appeal to nature lovers as the ocean teems with life and there is inquisitive local wildlife.
Diving is best on the northern side of the bay, with sponges, black coral, and tropical fish abound. Shipwrecks from the 17th and 18th centuries add archaeological interest, especially for wreck divers.
At Cayo Levisa you can lie back and forget about the outside world for a few days.
